RECIPES RITUALS ROUTINES SPRING
Our 4 th March 2023 Spring Cooking Workshop experience is based in wholeness, with opportunities to deepen your Ayurvedic knowledge. We will harness the qualities of nature to align with greater health.
For most of us, Ayurveda is just another way of treating illnesses with medicines that are made up of herbs. Well, Ayurveda is much much more than that. Originating in India more than 5,000 years ago, Ayurveda is a holistic and philosophical practice that guides us to the wisdom of nature for optimal health. Understanding the interconnectedness of the environment, Ayurveda teaches us that our bodies don’t exist in exception to the natural world—they are, instead, a part of it, integrated with it, and dependent on it for our health and well-being.
During this hands-on cooking class, Ayurvedic chef and health practitioner, Amrita Ma Devi, will teach you some seasonal recipes to nourish and ground you. The workshop will show you how to look through a new lens. One that aims at connecting you with your nature, aligning you to support yourself by using food as medicine. You’ll learn the vital role that each of the six tastes play in our physiology, emotions, and mental state as well as how to prepare ingredients for optimal digestion.
