  • 1 liter grape juice
  • 1 orange, zested and juiced
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 1/4 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey)

1. Combine Ingredients: In a large saucepan, combine grape juice, orange and lemon zest and juice, fresh ginger, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, black peppercorns, and maple syrup.

2. Simmer: Heat the mixture over medium heat until it simmers, but do not boil.

3. Infuse: Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavours to infuse.

4. Serve: Strain the mulled grape juice into mugs, discarding the spices. Serve hot, garnished with a cinnamon stick and a slice of orange.
