Seed & Rice Porridge
This recipe is unique and has the best benefits when you are cleansing, have low digestion, and feeling weak. Rice porridge is a good dish with rice, water, chia and linseeds and can have various flavorings. Depending on the recipe and other ingredients, it will be sweet or it can be a savory rice porridge that can be served as a morning dish, or a major meal, or a dessert. It has a thick, slightly uneven consistency, much like a thick soup. To learn how to prepare rice porridge, watch the video.
Benefits: Ingredients like fresh ginger and fresh turmeric are used to give the sticky rice a health-promoting boost. The seeds help provide much needed protein to a carbohydrate rich meal. You can change the taste by adding vegetables and spices to suit your dosha. Each mouthful feels like a warm hug for your tummy. Here are several ways that rice porridge might help you feel better.
The heavy starch and water mixture is easily absorbed by the body, but the greatest part is that it stays in the stomach for longer than any other food, making it ideal for easing digestion. Making it ideal for children and elderly when they need something simple to eat.
If you eat fewer carbs, add more water to the meal. Adding 7 grams of linseeds adds 37 calories and 1.88 protein and chia 1 tablespoon of chia seeds provides about 69 calories, 2.3 grams of protein and 4.9 grams of fiber. Instead of the 100 calories you'd get from plain rice.
Rice porridge is the perfect dish to satisfy your appetites whether you're monitoring your weight or want to consume dishes that won't cause any stomach flare-ups.
For starters, the meal can help with digestion and inflammation, helping you to treat intestinal problems and diarrhea. It's the go-to dish for anyone who's feeling under the weather, since doctors see it as a tasty delicacy that assists in recuperation.
With all of its health benefits, demonstrates that a simple meal may provide more value than the sum of its parts. It's delectable proof that even the most basic dishes can bring more to the table than meets the eye, proving that Chinese rice porridge is deserving of its international acclaim.
